Since our establishment in 2012, Balamu Community outreach program has been host to over 30 volunteers from all over the world. As a local organization which is owned and coordinated by Ugandans we pride ourselves on creating an authentic experience for our International volunteers and visitors.
As a BACOP volunteer not only will you support many of our ongoing programs during your time here but gain real insight into the ways of Ugandan life. We want you to leave Uganda with a deep understanding of our culture, languages and have created real connections and experiences. Be prepared to have an open mind and continuously learn while also giving back during your time with us. Volunteering is challenging on so many levels and regardless of if you are with us for a few weeks or longer we know you will walk away having had many rewarding experiences. We believe this authentic approach to volunteering is what differentiates us.
