Balamu Soccer Academy (BSA) has proudly emerged as the U15 champions at the 2025 Kings Cup finals, triumphing 32 other top teams from across Uganda. This remarkable victory highlights the growing talent and commitment of young athletes nurtured through BACOP’s dynamic programs.
Beyond football, BSA continues to lead the Balamu Community Outreach Program (BACOP), which uses sports as a powerful tool to uplift and transform the lives of vulnerable children across 22 Mehta refugee camps in Uganda. Many of these children come from families displaced by conflict in the Democratic Republic of Congo and South Sudan.
BACOP’s mission goes far beyond the pitch. Through structured football initiatives, the program promotes:
- Positive behavior change
- Social inclusion for both boys and girls
- Access to quality education
- Awareness on climate change
- Health and well-being
- Child protection and youth safeguarding
- Prevention of domestic violence, child marriage, and child abuse
For many children in the Mehta camps, BACOP offers more than sport — it brings hope, purpose, and a chance for a better future.
